Angela Donley grew up in a small town in Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University. She began her journey into the world of disability when her son Jackson was diagnosed with autism at the age of 20 months. This began her journey into the world of autism and advocacy for children and families. Angela works for the Oklahoma Family Network supporting families, providing professional and family trainings, and is currently working in the role of Fundraising and Program Development Coordinator. She is a 2012 graduate of Partners in Policymaking and also a 2015 LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) Fellow in the family discipline. In 2018 she was appointed by the Oklahoma Speaker of the House to the Oklahoma Commission of Children and Youth to be a voice for all children with disabilities and their families in Oklahoma. Angela has also served as Chair of the Interagency Coordinating Council for Early Childhood Intervention (SoonerStart) and as the Secretary of the the DDS Policy Advisory Committee where she held the position of family voice for school aged children. She also works with the Oklahoma Autism Center providing the parent perspective for professional trainings for educators across Oklahoma and sits on various other committees including the Oklahoma Family and Interagency Autism Council and the Oklahoma Combating Autism State Leadership Team.
