Register Now/Registro Ahora for Tulsa Partnership Institute! Calling All Tulsa-area Parents and Professionals. The Tulsa Family Professional Partnership Institute is on Fri, Nov 6th, from 9:00 AM -2:00 PM at Legacy Plaza West.

- Explore ways to strengthen partnerships between families and the providers who serve them, benefiting the lives of our children and families.
- For any parent interested in making services more family-friendly and making a difference in our state.
- Informative sessions with lively discussions focused on supporting individuals and families toward a good life!
- A workshop on self-awareness, new goals, positive change & peace
For parents and other caregivers to share their voice, they need to feel confident and supported. The Oklahoma Family Network, in partnership with the Oklahoma State Department of Health, will offer four regional leadership institutes to develop current family leaders and family members who want to get more involved in enhancing Maternal and Child Health programs and connect with opportunities for family voice.
If you are interested in getting involved in making things better in the following areas, please consider registering for the institute at the Legacy Plaza West, 1st Floor, Family & Children’s Conference Center, 5310 E 31st Street, Tulsa, OK 74135

- Parent Advisory Committees for Family Resource Centers at Great Plains YMCA and Tri County-Enid

Ways you might get involved:
- Join a committee that is working on one of the above areas
- Attend coalition meetings in your area to be a voice for families
- Share your story on an OFN podcast
- Review publications, websites, etc.
- Become a part of a family advisory or another board or committee to make services work better
The last session of the afternoon will give you a chance to join committees and sign up for other leadership opportunities.

Tulsa Spoonies provides a safe space for people who are chronically ill, disabled, or medically complex in the Tulsa and NE Oklahoma areas to find community, connection, and friendship.
Tulsa Spoonies hosts regular local gatherings, including in-person meetups. Attendance and membership are reserved for affected individuals (caregivers or medical professionals may join only if they are also spoonies).

Whether you are a parent or teacher, you will want to attend both seminars.
Parents and teachers will learn about tools to address each child’s unique needs. At the completion of the course, participants will have a tool and documents they can use instantly with service providers, educators, and medical professionals.
These tools will assist each person working with the child to see progress, eliminate frustration for the
child, and create appropriate, meaningful goals.
